Hero was the star of the Intermediate day. He won his section with a really good dressage of 29 and a fab double clear. I really hope that he can keep his winning form until Blenheim.
Louis (Mistralou) was a good boy too. A bit lazy in the dressage to score a 39, one rail down on the last show jump and a confident clear cross country to finish 5th. Loon (Platoon) did a good test to score a 34, had a green moment in the show jumping with a rail down but he jumped the best he ever jumped, and we were flying across the country until we arrived at the double of corners. Loon didn’t really understand where he was suppose to jump because the flags were really close together and we had an elimination for 3 refusals there. I’m not worried about this, Loon has always been a great cross country horse and a good session cross country schooling will sort everything out.
The novice day was good as well. Tim was the best of the day with a great 26 in the dressage arena, an unlucky rail down in the show jumping and a good clear cross country to finish 5th. I’m really happy with him because I have started to feel a great improvement in the way he goes. Cooley was calm and relaxed in the test to score a 28, two rail in the show jumping and a classy clear in the cross country to finish 8th.
Kathryn was riding Red. He did a good dressage to score a 31, and jumped really well in the show jumping but two spooky moment cost him 2 rails down – but he flew around the cross country.
