April round up

Well, were do I start? The last month has flown by.

We have two new horses in our yard. They had both been ridden by Lucienne Elms but she has broken her foot very badly so asked if I could ride them until she is better. One is called Sallybog Tim, owned by Felicity Green, and is at Novice level. The other is called Mistralou, owned by Lucienne, and an Intermediate. Their first run with me will be at Aston-le-Walls so fingers crossed they go well.

I was very happy with how Oplitas went at Belton in the CIC3*. He did a very good dressage for him and was able to stay calm and cool throughout the whole test to score 45.9. He then had two down showjumping, and was clear inside the time to finish 16th.

I had a win at Hambleden with Cult Rewind in the Intermediate. He did a 35 in the dressage, was clear showjumping and clear xc, just adding 5.6 time. I was very happy and am looking forward to the rest of the season with him.

Kathryn went to Moreton Morrell, with her two six year olds. She had Billy the Red in the Novice: he did a 29.5 dressage, had one down and was clear inside the time xc to finish 4th. Cooley Eclipse ran in the Novice – he also did a 29.5 dressage, had one down, and jumped clear on the xc, just adding 0.8 time to his score.

We have a very busy week next week with seven at Aston over three days doing Novice and Intermediate, and three at Chatsworth doing the CIC3*.
