Belton Park

Giovanni Ugolotti and Platoon De LhocreWe went to Belton with Tiko, Bee, Loon and Hero for the CIC3*, and Bruvver in the Intermediate.

It was a mixed weekend. Hero did his dressage on the Friday morning and he was a bit tense in the arena to score a 63. I then decided not to run him show jumping and cross country because he had a bit of heat in his leg.

Tiko was good in the dressage, which is not his favourite phase, to score a 53. He had two rails in the show jumping (he was quite full of himself!) before jumping a nice steady clear cross country to finish on a good note on his first run of the season.

Loon was good in the dressage but he is still quite green at this level. He scored a 67, then didn’t feel himself in the show jumping and had few rails down – but he redeemed himself across country with a really nice round.

Kathryn & Bee performed a really nice dressage to score a 50. They had two rails down in the show jumping and jumped a lovely clear cross country. We are really pleased with him, considering that was his first run of the season.

Bruvver was quite fresh in the show jumping and in the dressage but he give me a fab cross country ride. So on balance a good couple of days.
