We went to Burgham last weekend with a lorry load; Bee and Tiko for the CIC3*, Cooley for the CIC2*, Blue for the BE100 and Saetta for the Novice.
The two big boys in the 3* were really good. Tiko did a nice test to score 49 and jumped a steady double clear. I’m really pleased with him because this was his last run before WEG and he felt ready for it. Bee was also really good to score a 54 in the dressage (some tension in the canter work) and jumped a lovely double clear to finish just outside the placing.
Cooley came for his first 2*. He didn’t have the best preparation for the event because he got cast in the stable a couples of days before and we couldn’t ride him until the day before we left. He was good in the dressage to score a 50, had a few rails show jumping and he was a machine cross country.
Saetta was good in his first novice to score a 33 in the dressage, jumped a lovely clear show jumping and had a green stop cross country.
Blue was the star of the weekend, to jumping a lovely double clear and finishing 6th out of 41 starters in his section. We are really excited about him and happy to bring back a rosette to his owner Mary.
