Last week end we were off to Gatcombe with a full lorry…… I was riding Bruvver and Loon in the Intermediate – and Bruvver was outstanding!!!! He did a lovely dressage to score a 30 and jumped a beautiful double clear to finish just outside the rosettes.
Loon was really good as well with a nice dressage to score a 34. He rolled two rails in the show jumping but redeemed himself with an easy clear cross country.
Kathryn was riding Cooley and Red. Cooley did a stunning test, scoring 23 and leading his section. He then had two rails down followed by a nice steady clear cross country. Red was good in the dressage as well to score a 33. He was a bit spooky in the show jumping and had a rail down and again jumped a really nice clear cross country.
I then had Tim and Mistralou in the International classes. Tim was in the CIC* and he did a good dressage to score 55, rolled two rails in the show jumping and put in a green stop cross country. Louis was in the CIC** and he was great. He posted a score of 50 in his test, and was the only one to jump clear inside the time cross country. Two unlucky rails show jumping left us in 6th.
